Garlic Butter

Description

This is a great recipe to have made up, ready to go. It’s perfect for making your own garlic bread, on steak, chicken, roasted veggies or mashed potatoes and so much more! It adds such a great depth of flavour to so many dishes.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 250 g unsalted butter, softened
  • 6 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 tsp fine sea salt
  • 1 heaped tbsp fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Add softened butter to the mixing bowl.
  2. Crush garlic cloves with a garlic crusher and add to butter.
  3. Finely chop parsley and add to bowl.
  4. Mix all ingredients with a spoon until well combined.

TO USE NOW FOR GARLIC BREAD:

  1.   Preheat fan-forced oven to 180 degrees Celcius.
  2.   Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  3.   If using hot dog buns either slice lengthways down the centre or cut into slices.
  4.   If using a french bread stick cut into slices.
  5. Spread a generous amount over the bread and place on a lined baking tray and cook for 12-15 minutes.

TO USE LATER:

  1.   Spoon onto a piece of baking paper and roll into a log shape, twist ends tight to pull it together, then wrap in glad wrap.
  2.   Place in the freezer, then use as needed.

  • Use a 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated to make homemade garlic bread.
