Description
This Egg and Bacon pie recipe is easy to make and so delicious. It is great served with a garden salad and garlic bread, or vegetables and chips. Enjoy!

- 6 eggs
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 c milk
- 1/2 c plain flour
- pepper, to taste
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 6 rashes of bacon, chopped (350g)
- 3/4 c grated tasty cheese
- 1/2 tsp dried parsley or 1 tsp fresh chopped parsley
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celcius (fan forced)
- In a large mixing bowl, add the eggs, baking powder, salt, milk, flour and pepper and mix altogether with a whisk, until incorporated.
- In a separate mixing bowl add onion, garlic, bacon, cheese and parsley and mix together with a spoon.
- Pour ingredients together into the large mixing bowl and mix together with a spoon until incorporated.
- Oil a deep baking dish with spray oil and pour mixture into dish.
- Place into preheated oven and bake for one hour, or until cooked through and browned nicely on top.
Notes
- Check pie at 45 minutes and then keep checking, depending on your oven.
- A 2 litre baking dish has been used here.
